One of the biggest questions that we are asked is, "what should I wear?". Most importantly, you should wear something that suits your taste, personality, and is comfortable. Of course, not everything that falls into these category will do you justice when it comes to digital images. Below are some tips that will help you look your very best during picture-day.
No crazy patterns! close stripes, small polkadots, and wild prints do not make for the most flattering photo. I recommend wearing solid colors, but not neons.Coordinate with family member. The last thing you want uncle Harry to do is show up in a three-piece suit when you're taking casual photos on the beach. Make sure your colors and dress match. For beach portraits, you can either stick with the standard white button-up shirt and jeans or khakis, or add more color by having everyone wear different color and solid t-shirts. For children, alternate colors based on their personalities. Women can wear sundresses that stop just above their knees. WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?
This is the second most common question. Below is what you should bring:
Bring an extra change of clothes, especially if we are scheduled for a beach shoot. Some of the best photos are in the water. Bring a towel (see above)Bring a quick drying bug spray if we are shooting at a location and during a time with pesky bugs.If we taking a family portrait with the dog, make sure to bring poop bags. You never know when your pet may get that "call of nature".If we're shooting during the summer, bring a bottle of water. We're not called the Sunshine State for no reason. It can get hot!Bring any extra props you'd like for the photo (hats, sunglasses, etc.)I hope that helps.
